Here’s your chance to live the life of a jet-setting poker player absolutely free. With Dream Job Australia you could be a PokerStars sponsored player worth $100,000, including $40,000 for tournament entries, and a $5,000 per month salary. Win the job and you’ll get to travel to your choice of stops on the Australia New Zealand Poker Tour (ANZPT).
Simply play in the daily free-to-enter tournaments for your shot at winning this once-in-a-lifetime prize. Make it to the final 10 players and you’ll have six weeks to convince the poker community you’ve got what it takes.
Don’t worry if you don’t have a PokerStars account yet, it’s easy to download the free software and get set up. Existing players have a great chance of winning too, and with a tournament running every day, you’ve got plenty of chances to qualify.
How to play
Freeroll satellites run every day, Saturday to Thursday from March 1 at the times stated below. The Weekly Finals take place on Fridays, with the Grand Final running Saturday, March 27. You can find the tournaments in the PokerStars lobby by selecting ‘Tourney’ and ‘Regional’.

The top 10 finishers at the Grand Final will all become Dream Job Australia Finalists, and they will then complete a poker knowledge test, meet with Team PokerStars Australia at ANZPT Sydney, and for the next six weeks they will blog, tweet and facebook their poker exploits. It’s then down to the poker community to decide who gets the big prize.
Details of the Finalists will be published here after the Grand Final, and everyone can vote for their favourite finalist. Each of the finalists will have their own dedicated tournament, and to vote you should register for that tournament. The Finalist with the most players in his or her voting tournament gets the Dream Job!
The voting tournaments will be listed in the PokerStars lobby under ‘Tourney’ and ‘Regional’, and the winner will be announced on May 10, 2010. Voters may only register for one tournament.
