Aussie lingo

This clip makes it all too apparent that there are not enough good Aussie poker players dominating live poker (no offence to Jeff or Joe).

Super Saturday

Having mentioned that Monday night is one of the worst times for me to play, it seems that Saturday morning is definitely the best. I essentially played a few MTT's and the normal $3.25 45 mans.

I have been doing well in MTT's lately but didn't have any luck today, only managing to mincash the last one I played in. The 45 mans were a different story tho ... cashing 6 of 8. Not only that, I won 2, had a second and 2 thirds.

The domination of 45's today has sent the bankroll back up to $1320, just $30 short of my all-time best. Being a long weekend with a public holiday on Monday, I'm guessing I'll be putting in some more time on PokerStars tomorrow. Monday I think I'm hanging with friends watching the World Cup, NBA and AFL.

May was a pretty good month. If it wasn't for an approximately $100 slide at the end it would've been my best to date.

Stats wise, I had a good number of wins (mostly in the first 2 weeks) and a solid finish late%.

The bad number is the EM finish of 12% which seems fairly high for me. I guess it shows I'm willing to take flips earlier in tournaments. Not sure if its just early suck-outs or me not being able to fold big hands.

After the good ...

... comes the bad.

After a good week previously, this one has been rough. Sunday night I finished with a stretch of 12 non-cashes, which led in to Monday which was just horrific. 22 games with 3 basically min-cashes. Then Friday night which was even worse ... 25 games, 2 min-cashes.

I didn't think I was playing badly, but was seeing some horrific bad beats and I don't think I've been rivered so many times in my life. I also cannot outrun queen jack off when I'm all-in, no matter what I have.

Yesterday was much better, especially in the morning. I had my first win in ... I'm embarrassed to say, 3 weeks. A couple of seconds and a number of other placings.

So after a good climb in May, the month finished with a downswing and the bankroll took a hit down from $1350. It got down to about $1175 on Friday but now sits at $1230.
